many thanks to all who attended another successful speaker meeting hosted by north Tyneside Disability Forum. This month we held our speaker meeting based on the theme of TV's "Dragons Den" where members had the opportunity to present their idea to our "Dragons" (workers) with a hope to having some time allocated to their project. Our dragons were: Derek Craigie (Development worker for the Ddeaf, deafened and hard of hearing), Leanne Maddison (Good Advice Worker), David Newman (Web Development and Accessible Information Worker), Dave Ellison (Older Peoples Project Development worker) and Sue Adams (Chief Officer) on behalf of Susan Procter and Leah O'Sullivan for the Young peoples project. Accepted Projects include: Live Auction ‘Cash In The Attic’ Day (proposed by Alan Walton) Poetry Book (proposed by Pat Ardiss Neil) Dance Based Exercise sessions (proposed by Gillian Grant) Swap Shop (as proposed by Lisa Elliott, under guidance of Chris Legg) Dating Agency (proposed by Megan Allan) Monthly Coffee Morning: (including a book & CD/DVD Sale) (proposed by Tricia Boyle)
