NTDF Community Shop
NTDF’s Community Charity Shop was opened in November 2009 by Newcastle United’s Peter Beardsley.
It was founded upon a donation of £1000 form RW Mann Trust.

Location and Role:
Situated in Park View Whitley Bay, the shop relies on local community support to donated goods and local volunteers to help enable people of all ages and abilities to look towards gaining skills and experiences and opportunities to improve their quality of life and enhance their life choices.
It also offers local people the opportunity to buy quality goods at reasonable prices and in so doing making a hige difference to those people who use the NTDF services at Shiremoor Centre Earsdon Road NE27 0HJ

Running alongside the community shop, is NTDF’s ebay site and both if these look to enjoy the generosity of people donating their good quality but no longer wanted goods that NTDF can sell to reinvest in the charity’s service provision across morning, afternoon , evening and weekend supported activates to disabled people and their families in our North Tyneside Borough.
The shop further offers an opportunity for people of all ages to volunteer their time, share their existing skills and gain training and experience around all aspects of the projects work, this to include:
Offer excellent levels of service to customers and service users representing the interests of North Tyneside disability forum by promotion of its services and resources.
Encouraging the donation of goods and preparing them for sale: pricing, dating, receipting and all aspects of administration to stock control and management.
Ensuring all records are kept in accordance with the organisations requirements.
Sorting, displaying , packaging and storing.
Handling cash and dealing with reconciliation, this to include use of till and detailing information.
Working as part of a team.
Recruiting and training of volunteers all up a
ensuring sufficient donations received to maintain stock levels
ensuring all statutory obligations fulfilled.
Develop relationships and encourage collaborative working with other voluntary public and private sector organisations.
Stock control, rotation, daily cash duties.
Committed to promoting the charity and ethos behind the work undertaken.
