Here is why Alice is running the 2019 Great North Run:
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have made what some might consider to be a huge error in judgement, and managed to get a place in the 2019 Simplyhealth Great North Run in September (and, the 10K in July! Argh!) Given that I am a slow moving land mammal with the running skills of a beached seal, this is going to be... interesting.
However, I will be raising money for North Tyneside Disability Forum, a fantastic local charity who provide an invaluable service to local differently abled people.
Having worked for NTDF for much of 2018, I've seen first hand the amazing work that they do to support people in North Tyneside disadvantaged by the impact of disability. NTDF aims to ensure disabled people are able to participate on equal terms in society as able decision makers with choice and control over their own lives in order that they have full citizenship and access.
If you would like to sponsor me, your money makes a real difference in helping NTDF to achieve these aims!
