NTDF Young Peoples Project
What We Offer
Positive Future Lives
Working towards a positive future
The Positive Future Lives Project is aimed at young people 18 to 30 years who have mild learning, physical or sensory disabilities. The aim of the group is to build confidence and self esteem, learn new skills and gain vocational qualifications.
We run sessions Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 3pm and work on NOCN accreditation's, life skills, crime awareness/ crime prevention, job searching, CV writing, fundraising, shoe box appeal, hand eye co ordination exercises, message taking, reception skills, music and drama.
Voice & Choice Project
Without young peoples voices there are no young peoples choices
The Voice and Choice project is for young people aged 13 – 18. This project aims to help young people build friendships, skills and aspirations as they grow toward adulthood. Young people are free to decide what they would like to learn whilst NTDF staff work to make their wishes possible. With a wide range of activities available at NTDF (including song, drama, music, sports and workshops), young people can choose between themselves what would best meet their needs and help them achieve their goals.
Powerful Young Voices
Giving young people a voice
The project seeks to recruit and energise the enthusiasms, opinions, aspirations and ideas of disabled children and young people aged 13 to 25 years towards their ownership, planning, delivery and programming of the project.
We want to make sure that the views of young people in North Tyneside are heard and we believe that by working together our voices are more powerful.
